Gala supports nonprofit for families navigating the mental health system

A nonprofit that helps student-athletes and their families navigate the mental health system is getting ready for its annual fundraising gala.

Steve and Jill Miskelley started Team Be Better in 2021 after their son, Ian, died by suicide while at school in Ann Arbor. The Miskelleys said they created the nonprofit because they struggled with the mental health system when trying to get help for Ian, who was battling depression. Read more.
