Steve and Jill Miskelley, parents of the late Ian Miskelley, don’t want any more families to have to go through what they have. Ian died by suicide in September 2020 at age 19 after years of battling depression. Despite having a clinical diagnosis and support from the University of Michigan medical community, the Miskelleys feel there isn’t sufficient infrastructure to provide the consistent, effective mental health treatment necessary for those struggling.
